San Miguel Beer is very popular in Cebu City and all over the Philippines. It has been known for its great tasting beer, perfect for socializing and group drinking. San Miguel Beer is the Philippines’ largest producer of beer with over 90% market share in 2009. It has five breweries spread across the country producing eight beer brands, led by its flagship brand San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen. Other brands are San Mig Light, Cerveza Negra, Gold Eagle Beer, San Miguel Premium All-Malt Beer, San Mig Strong Ice, San Mig Super Dry & the famous Red Horse Beer with tagline “Ito ang Tama!” (This is the best!).
When I went to Iligan City Hall to file my Marriage License, I saw the Biggest San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen Can. It was the first time I saw a huge can and to my amazement it was used as a Trash Can in the City Hall’s surroundings. So I took a picture of myself beside the can to show it to you.

In Mandaue City, Cebu a big bottle of San Miguel Beer also stands at the top of the San Miguel Brewery Building.

On top of the bottle’s crown is a signal light to avoid low flying aircraft to crash in the bottle (it may break and spill all the beer inside… hahaha).
