Da Vinci’s Pizza in Cebu is a homegrown Cebu-based pizza parlor that reinvented the customary tomato-based pizza. Known for its thin crust white sauce pizza does not mean that it’s all they can offer. They also have tomato sauce pizzas and premium pizzas. This means that customers have a lot of pizza flavors to choose from.

The pizza I like most at Da Vinci’s Pizza in Cebu is their Roast Beef Pizza which is part of their premium pizzas. I just love the roasted beef blended with white sauce and double layer mozzarella cheese along with mushroom, onions, and fresh herbs and spices. Yummy!

Wedding Ring Ideas

Wedding bells is just around the corner. My fiancé and I are getting married this coming February of 2010. That will be 2 months from now. Whew! Just one more seminar to attend and the documents and requirements will be over.

We were starting to look for wedding ring ideas. We wanted to make sure that our ring would be the best. Some would say the wedding ring shouldn’t over power the engagement ring’s stone and to find a wedding band that have its individuality.

Wedding Digest

In our quest to find the right wedding ring ideas, I bought a wedding digest magazine. It’s not just about wedding rings, but it’s about wedding itself and the things one must do to prepare for their much awaited moment. It does contain everything you need and wanted for the big day.

But still, we were not satisfied of the wedding ring ideas the magazine has. That’s when we decided to check out wedding rings available in the mall. With high hopes that we can then find the right wedding band for us, we went to SM City Cebu.

We went to the different jewellery establishment for the different wedding ring ideas. And yes we were able to find one at Karat World. Their displays of the different wedding ring style are great and as well as other jewellerys available. Prices are reasonable and what’s nice about it, some are actually 50% off. We kept looking and the first wedding ring, is the wedding ring we chose.

We were able to try the Hawaiian Aloha at Jones Brother Pizza Co. and it’s quite yummy. Though I’m really not satisfied with the food but I know for sure some people would love the taste. Their pizzas are ready to serve so I guess that’s the reason why I’m not into their pizza.

Have you ever played golf inside a mall before? Well Krystofle’s Golf Island offers a different kind of experience and the most unique environment while playing golf.

Krystofle’s Golf Island is tag as the first in Asia and has a different kind of ambiance when it comes to playing golf. Though it’s not really into professionally playing the game but surely the whole family will enjoy especially the kids. The playing environment is unique with all the UV lights surrounding the place which makes the place quite dim.

You might be wondering why Krystofle’s Golf Island is dim when you are playing golf. The management has a different kind of gizmo. There are three golf courses inside the island. First is an aquatic inspired golf course, then the Egyptian inspired course and lastly the pirates of the Caribbean inspired golf course. Each golf course has 3 different holes. You need to hit the balls into each holes before you proceed to the next golf course.

While playing on each of the golf course at Krystofle’s Golf Island one would be surprised by the different gimmick the management has prepared. Things that you don’t expect to move are actually moving and a whole lot of different stuff that will make you horrified which gives thrill to the one playing the game.

According to one of the staff, it depends on the controller on which object to move and the intensity in horrifying the players. But some of the objects have sensor which moves every time a person passes by.

Pop Com Seminar

Does Pop Com Seminar ring a bell? Couples who are planning of getting married needs to undergo this training since the certificate is needed in filing for marriage license.

Pop Com Seminar (Population Commission Seminar) aims to give couples who are planning of getting married the views and insights of marriage. They give rightful information on what to expect when one is already married and as well as give advices on what to do when certain situation arises. But the main objective of the seminar is to impart the knowledge of population control.

Pop Com Seminar is handled by the local government spearheaded by the Population Control Office of the City. My fiancé and I took the seminar last November 19, 2009 in Iligan City. None of us really knows what will happen on the said seminar. Before you undergo the seminar, one has to answer some questions relating to money, family, handling children and sex.

Pop Com Seminar started at 8:00 in the morning with a prayer. Different speakers were around to give all the bits of information about marriage. There were people from DSWD, NSO, City Health, and people from the church. There were also people from different wedding organization to give some advices and the wedding services they offer. The talks are not boring at all. Speakers are good and have been conducting this kind of seminar for how many years already. So they know how to catch the audiences’ attention. They’ve also explained one by one the items found on the questionnaires they’ve asked to fill out.

Pop Com Seminar sure does give insight about marriage. Marriage therefore is never easy and it’s a lifetime process of learning and adjustment with your spouse and the people around you. Though it’s never easy, a lot of people still engage in marriage for love and in order to create their own family.

Cebu City Christmas Tree

Christmas is in the air and its fast approaching. Twenty-three days more to go before Christmas. People are busy preparing and looking for gifts for their love ones. Christmas decorations are everywhere such as Christmas outdoor decorations and Christmas trees which is evident when you happen to pass by different stores and houses.

Cebu City has its own tradition regarding Christmas. Middle of November they started to build the Cebu City Christmas Tree. It’s not easy to construct one huge Christmas tree. More than 5 people are helping hand in hand to be able to put up the traditional tree. This has been made possible with the contribution of MLhuillier and the local government of Cebu.

Now the traditional Cebu City Christmas Tree has already been lighted. It symbolizes and signals that Christmas is just around the corner. The traditional symbol has a different look which has more lights and Christmas decor surrounding the huge tree at Fuente Osmeña.

Lighting the giant Cebu City Christmas Tree has always been the highlight in celebrating Pasko sa Sugbo every year. Adding more color is fireworks display and the celebration continues until January when Cebu City is celebrating Sinulog Festival. Therefore it’s more of a month long celebration for the Cebuanos.

People start to stroll around Fuente Circle to take some pictures of the giant Cebu City Christmas Tree and to witness live bands. This is the time of the year when almost everybody is looking forward.

Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral

Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is the ecclesiastical seat of the metropolitan archdiocese of Cebu. Back in August 14, 1595 when Cebu was established as diocese and then later on elevated as a metropolitan archdiocese in April 28, 1934 together with diocese of Dumaguete, Maasin, Tagbilaran, and Talibon as suffragans.

The construction of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral took long due to interruptions such as lack of funds and other unexpected events. Another factor that contributes to the delay in constructing the church is vacancies in the office after the death of an incumbent bishop who spearheaded the construction/reconstruction of the church.

Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral architecture is distinctive with baroque colonial churches in the Philippines. It has squat, cruciform, and with thick walls to withstand typhoon and other natural catastrophes. The trefoil-shaped pediment is decorated with carved relieves of floral motifs, an IHS inscription and a pair of griffins.

Very recently the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral underwent a major renovation after so many years just in time for the 75^th anniversary of the Archdiocese of Cebu last April 28, 2009. A petition was also sent to Pope Benedict XVI for its elevation into a basilica minore in honor of St. Vitalis. The church interiors where newly embellished. Chandeliers are everywhere that made the church look elegant and bright. They’ve also improve the parking area for the church goers and devotees.

At the night when all the lights are on, Cebu Metropolitan Church looks exquisite inside and out. The parking area looks like a park with the kind of brightness the surroundings have. Although the church has changed a lot after the major renovation, the solemnity of every mass is the same. Bishops and priest see to it to deliver the message of God vividly to the people attending the mass.

I always like to dine at Pier One Bar and Grill Parkmall branch because of the different kind of ambiance the restaurant have. The restaurant’s architecture is more like of a ship and boast an atmosphere perfectly suited for its location especially that it’s located in the North Reclamation Area. The scenic view of the restaurant at night is just really inviting.
